Kathryn Castillo holds a M.Ed. in Montessori Education from Loyola University, a B.A. in Elementary Education from Aurora University in Illinois, and an AMI Elementary diploma from Montessori Northwest in Portland, Oregon. She is returning to her Kansas City roots where she attended North Kansas City High School; participating in the International Baccalaureate program. Prior to her Montessori training, she was an Assistant in a Children’s House classroom at Sunstone Montessori in Portland.
When Kathryn is not in the classroom, she spends time meditating, cooking, playing the piano, and being in nature. She enjoys jazz clubs as her husband is a jazz/funk musician.
Kathryn strongly believes in the Montessori Method. Guiding children to recognize and take ownership of their potential is her mission.
